While our Jewellery is specially designed to be low maintenance and easy to care for, we do recommend some simple care tips to keep it looking it's best.

Please read our Care Instructions below.

Care Instructions

First steps

As our jewellery is not pre-sterilised, when you receive your order we recommend giving earrings (particularly ear posts and backs) a gentle wipe with some isopropyl alcohol or Benzalkonium Chloride antiseptic ear spray before wearing.

This will help to remove any possible debris and impurities that may remain from the manufacturing process, and minimise the chance of any irritation to your ears.

Tarnish resistant jewellery

Our Tarnish Resistant range is made of durable stainless steel, with gold versions PVD plated in 18k gold. While it is resistant to tarnish, you should avoid contact with perfumes, make up, cosmetics & cleaning products, along with abrasive surfaces as these may damage the gold plating.

To clean, wipe gently with a soft clean cloth. Jewellery polishing cloths and other jewellery cleaning solutions are not recommended on gold plated earrings, as they contain an abrasive compound and may remove the gold plating.

Please note: Due to the PVD gold plating process, it is normal for your gold jewellery to have very small areas where gold plating may be absent, particularly moving parts such as the hinges and clasps of earrings and necklaces. The irregularities are not considered a fault, rather are a result of the manufacturing process. These areas are not at all visible when jewellery is being worn, and will not affect the overall look of your jewellery.

Sterling Silver jewellery

Sterling Silver jewellery is made from solid 925 sterling silver, with gold versions plated in 18k gold. Due to the small and delicate nature of these earrings, they are not suitable for young children.

Sterling silver will bend easily if treated roughly, so please handle them gently and store them safely when not worn. We recommend storing your jewels in the reusable pvc pouch they arrive in.

To prolong the life and appearance of your sterling silver earrings, please remove them before bathing, swimming or exercising, and avoid contact with perfumes, make up, cosmetics and body creams etc. which will damage the gold plating and cause them to tarnish quickly.

To clean sterling silver jewellery, wipe gently with a soft clean cloth. Jewellery polishing cloths and other jewellery cleaning solutions are not recommended on gold plated earrings, as they contain an abrasive compound and may remove the gold plating.

Gold plated earrings are plated with a coating of 18k gold. This coating will wear off over time. Please ensure you follow the above care instructions to help prolong the life of your gold plated jewellery.

How to clean your jewellery

To clean your jewellery, wipe gently with a soft clean cloth as required. Never use any abrasive material, scrubbing brushes or scouring pads to clean your jewellery as they may scratch and dull the finish of your jewels and remove any gold plating.

Similarly, jewellery polishing cloths and jewellery cleaning/polishing solutions are not recommended on gold plated earrings, as they contain an abrasive compound and may remove the gold plating.

How to store your jewellery

Though our jewels are designed to be durable, they can still mark, scratch or bend if treated roughly, so please handle your jewellery gently and store safely when not worn. Between wears, we recommend storing your jewels in the reusable pvc pouch they arrive in.
