While our Jewellery is specially designed to be low maintenance and easy to care for, we do recommend some simple care tips to keep it looking it's best.

Please read our Care Instructions below.

Care Instructions

First steps

As our jewellery is not pre-sterilised, when you receive your order we recommend giving earrings (particularly ear posts and backs) a gentle wipe with some isopropyl alcohol or antiseptic ear spray before wearing.

This will help to remove any possible debris and impurities that may remain from the manufacturing process, and minimise the chance of any irritation to your skin.

Important Information

Our tarnish resistant jewellery is made from durable surgical grade stainless steel. Gold jewellery is PVD plated in 18k gold. Silver jewellery is un-plated, highly polished surgical steel, and is naturally a darker tone than sterling silver.

While our jewellery is highly resistant to tarnish, please avoid contact with perfumes, make up, cosmetics & cleaning products, along with hard, sharp & abrasive surfaces, as these may damage the gold plating and react with the steel.

Prolonged contact with salt & chlorine may also damage the steel & gold plating, so always rinse well with clean fresh water immediately after swimming or exercising.

Please note: Due to the PVD gold plating process, it is normal for your gold jewellery to have very small areas where gold plating may be absent, particularly moving parts such as the hinges and clasps of earrings and necklaces. The irregularities are not considered a fault, rather are a result of the manufacturing process. These areas are not at all visible when jewellery is being worn, and will not affect the overall look of your jewellery.

How to clean your jewellery

To clean your jewellery, rinse with clean, fresh water & wipe gently with a soft clean cloth as required. Never use any abrasive material, scrubbing brushes or scouring pads to clean your jewellery as they may scratch and dull the finish of your jewellery and damage gold plating.

Similarly, jewellery polishing cloths and jewellery cleaning/polishing solutions are not recommended on gold plated jewellery, as they contain an abrasive compound and will damage gold plating.

How to store your jewellery

Though our jewels are designed to be durable, they can still mark, scratch or bend if treated roughly, so please handle your jewellery gently and store safely when not worn. Between wears, we recommend storing your jewels in the reusable pvc pouch they arrive in.
